I don't know how Team Cherry did it, to make NKG stand out more than the regular Grimm fight as opposed to for example Lost Kin to Broken Vessel, but they pulled it off. And although in a sense that is true, it doesn't feel that way, and I mean this as a positive thing. When I first went in I thought I knew what to expect, I thought it was going to be 'just another dream fight', a more souped up version of the base enemy (faster, double damage). The arena itself doesn't have any traps (for example, Mantis Lords/Sisters of Battle has spikes on either side of the arena, limiting your movement), all your focus is on NKG, as it should be. There is no RNG involved, no status inflictions, it's just you and him. Probably the most obvious reason, the fight itself is amazing. Here is a few reasons why I like this fight so much: This guy easily rose to the top of my favourite bosses list, beating Sigrun from God of War PS4 as the prior leader of the pack. I know there are some crazy boss fights in there as well, just haven't experienced them myself.Īfter what have been at least 70 tries, I finally defeated NKG yesterday. NOTE: I haven't played any of the Souls games/Bloodborne/Nioh/Sekiro, the games are not for me.

From this point onward, Nightmare King Grimm will be referred to as NKG.
